An initiative for bridging the digital gender gap in Purvanchal

Digital Change in Purvanchal

Tech Shakti operates in Eastern UP, aiming to narrow the gender digital divide by empowering women not just as users but as entrepreneurs. With support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, we’ve mobilized 6000 women, planning to train 1500 in Basic Digital Literacy. The Zoho Digital Centre of Excellence, JECP, facilitates model execution. Women face obstacles from societal challenges to limited mobility and lack of digital devices. Success stories include a beauty parlour owner building a home and another enabling financial independence in her community.
