Director - Incubation, JECP

Message from the Incubation Director

At JECP, we believe that entrepreneurship is the force that will shape the future of Middle India—and with it, the future of the nation. Our work in Purvanchal is not simply about supporting ventures, but about awakening purpose, enabling dignity, and unlocking the potential of a region long overlooked.
Since inception, JECP has incubated over 200 enterprises including 60+ women-led businesses, creating more than 1,500 jobs and inspiring a ripple effect of self-reliance and local prosperity. From agri-innovation to GreenTech, food processing to education, we are nurturing businesses that are not only economically viable but socially rooted and environmentally responsible.
This is more than enterprise-building; it is dream-realisation at scale. It is about giving shape to silent aspirations, turning dormant ideas into engines of change. Thirteen of our enterprises are actively pioneering sustainable solutions, redefining what it means to build a greener, more inclusive tomorrow.
As we expand across Purvanchal, our vision remains clear: to transform this region into a thriving hub of purpose-driven enterprise. In every entrepreneur, we see a leader. In every village, a possibility. And in every milestone, the quiet revolution of India’s next chapter.

Incubation Process

Who are our Udyamis

Udyamis are the backbone of our ecosystem. We work with different categories of Udyamis:

L0:

First – time entrepreneurs

L1:

Entrepreneurs scaling to Rs 50 lakh

L2:

Entrepreneurs scaling to Rs 2 crore

L3:

High-growth entrepreneurs scaling above Rs 5 crore

1. Mobilization (2 - 3 months before cohort launch)

We activate regional networks, media, and partnerships to reach and engage aspiring entrepreneurs across Purvanchal.

2. Application Window (1 month)

Local startups are invited to apply, ensuring inclusivity and contextual relevance.

3. Evaluation & Selection (1 month)

A rigorous four-stage process filters high-potential entrepreneurs:
• Online screening:
• Interviews by Udyam Corps
• Interviews by Incubation Head
• On-site visits

4. Cohort Kick-Off (3 days)

A residential induction introduces Udyamis to the Jagriti ecosystem, with startup grants of ₹20,000–₹50,000 disbursed based on classification.

5. Needs Assessment & Incubation Plan (1–2 months)

Personalized incubation roadmaps are developed through deep engagement with mentors, Udyam Corps, and the entrepreneurs themselves, laying the foundation for targeted growth.

At JECP, our incubation process follows the 7M framework, each step carefully designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs towards success. Here’s how we transform your vision into reality:

Mobilization

Begins in the field, identifying promising entrepreneurs through partnerships with ODOP teams, banks, SHG federations, and others. From thousands of applications, those showing real commitment, contextual relevance, and potential for green transformation are selected. This ensures a strong, diverse, and values-aligned cohort from the outset.

Mentorship

Connects each enterprise with seasoned sector experts. These mentors bring decades of experience and help refine business strategy, pricing, operations, and sustainability practices. Their insights are backed by ground-level follow-up from Jagriti’s field team, enabling implementation, not just ideas.

Market Connect

Expands real revenue opportunities. Entrepreneurs get plugged into B2B platforms, retail supply chains, institutional buyers, and government procurement channels. Demo Days and storytelling support help them position themselves confidently in competitive markets.

Money

Equips enterprises to manage finance better and raise funds smartly. Through grants, pitch-building, and linkages to funders like Aavishkar and Social Alpha, MSMEs learn how to grow responsibly and become investment-ready.

Misc. Services

Offer practical support across branding, packaging, compliance, inventory systems, and prototyping. With access to quality service providers, MSMEs strengthen their backbone and operate with greater professionalism.

Mahol

Meaning environment, creates a culture of support. Peer gatherings, expert workshops, and exposure visits keep energy high and learning continuous. Jagriti’s community - including mentors, alumni, and partners - keeps the ecosystem connected and inspired.

Mitra

Brings it all together on the ground. Udyam Corps and Mitras work closely with entrepreneurs - helping with documentation, training coordination, KPI tracking, and sustainability pilots. They ensure that guidance turns into action, making incubation deeply rooted and personal.
Together, the 7Ms form a robust system that walks with entrepreneurs - not ahead of them - ensuring no one builds alone.
